Newly released bodycam and dashcam video shows the terrifying moment a DUI suspect charged a Thurston County deputy and grabbed her gun during a crash investigation near Lacey, Washington. Deputies say 47-year-old Bryan McKay Fleming crashed into a guardrail, refused commands, then rushed the deputy as her taser failed to stop him. The video shows Fleming trying to yank her firearm from the holster before a Nisqually Tribal Police officer and an off-duty corrections officer jumped in to help. Prosecutors say Fleming admitted drinking seven bottles of Nyquil and was later charged with assault, attempting to disarm an officer, DUI, resisting arrest, and more. Sheriff Derek Sanders praised the deputy’s textbook response, calling it a “10/10” example of firearm retention under attack. This is one of the wildest police struggle videos released this year.
