Charlie was dumped--he wouldn't even look at me #abandoneddogs

Charlie was dumped by his owners at the local dog pound. When I first met him, he wouldn't even look at me and would not move from that corner of his cage. Look at his tail, still nervously wrapped around his backside. It took me a few days of crawling into his cage and speaking softly to Charlie until I shot this short video. Shortly after this, I was able to take him to the exercise area and he ran, but every time he passed the exit back to his cage, he tried to run back to his cage.

When you dump your dog, it's not a happy Thanksgiving! Dogs are a big part of our lives but to them, we are their WHOLE life. Look at this face--do you want to do this to this poor pup who did nothing wrong?
I helped the pound on Facebook and a few other social media outlets and within two weeks, Charlie was adopted. I'd been so moved that I told my friends if he didn't get adopted in a month, I might take him home myself.
