Grizzly bear captured, search continues for three other bears in Bella Coola

The BC Conservation Office Service (BCCOS) says it captured a grizzly bear in Bella Coola days after a devastating attack, but the service says “evidence is not conclusive” that it was involved in the attack.
Another grizzly bear was captured early Monday in Bella Coola, days after a group of staff and students were attacked during a field trip.
BCCOS, however, says it can’t conclusively say the newly captured bear was involved.“Conservation officers have assessed the bear, including comparing attack scene evidence with evidence analyzed from the captured bear. Evidence is not conclusive that the captured bear was involved in the attack,” read the Facebook post.
