An RCMP officer’s tone changed instantly the moment he realized he was being recorded.
man named Blake, who wasn’t even home when RCMP came to his house.
The moment he told them he was recording, the officer’s tone shifted.
This call shows intimidation, manipulation, and shifting accusations — all over a Facebook comment about making a CFIA officer “famous.”
Taxpayers have a right to know how police are being used, who they are protecting, and why citizens speaking out about government wrongdoing are being treated like criminals.
RCMP:
Not a problem at all. I was trying to clarify the information I gave you, so I’m happy to continue once you identify yourself first. I’ve got multiple files, but I just want to be clear.
My name is constable Dunhill with the RCMP, and I’m following up on a file from Saskatchewan police.
Blake:
Thank you. Of course — what have I been accused of?
RCMP:
You were named as part of a group of individuals making online posts.
The specific post relayed to me was that your Facebook account shared the name, phone number, email address, and business address of a certain CFIA officer, with the comment: “Make the SOB famous.”
That information was provided to the RCMP.
Blake:
Five minutes ago, that’s not what you said.
RCMP:
What I said was that information came from a group of people making specific posts. I hadn’t yet explained what your account specifically said because you stopped the conversation to start recording.
Blake:
You told me I was accused of something — of “online activity.”
RCMP:
I said you were part of the online activity. The specific things I mentioned earlier related to other individuals. You didn’t let me finish telling you what was actually posted from your account, which is what I’ve clarified now.
Blake:
That’s not what you said. You said I was accused of something. Stop changing the story.
RCMP:
I’m not going to dispute what you say you heard. What I just told you — and what you’re now recording — is the information delivered to me and why I’m following up.
If your Facebook account shared information about a CFIA officer, that is something you should not be doing.
That is why Saskatoon asked us to contact you and warn you about that behaviour.
If it continues, criminal charges could follow.
This isn’t coming directly from us — we were just requested to contact you.
You’re listed as a resident of Kelowna, which is why we attended your address. I didn’t know you were out of the country at the time.
Blake:
What did you say I was accused of earlier? Because on the first phone call, you said something else entirely.
RCMP:
The information we had involved a group of people making posts about the same CFIA officer — posts that were threatening and had escalated to the officer’s family and home.
Blake:
You specifically said I was involved in something about “gang raping someone’s wife.” You said that.
RCMP:
Yes — that information was in the file relating to the group, not to your account directly.
Your account was associated with a different post — the “make the SOB famous” post.
Blake:
So what was my specific action again?
RCMP:
Your Facebook account shared:
– An individual’s name
– Phone number
– Email address
– Business address
With the comment: “Make the SOB famous.”
That is the information sent to us connected to your account.
Blake:
If I shared anything, it would have been a business number, not a home address. A CFIA officer’s “office number,” not a personal one.
I would never share someone’s home number.
RCMP:
I understand. I’m not laying charges. I’m just delivering the warning. There is information that charges are being investigated, but none have been laid. The expectation is simply to warn you and prevent future issues.
Blake:
I’ve been very vocal on Facebook about the CFIA officers at the farm.
I’m going to say something — it’s not personal to you.
As a Canadian citizen, I’ve always trusted our national police force.
But after seeing what happened at that farm — I no longer do.
I don’t trust the RCMP as an institution.
Not you personally — but what the institution did.
RCMP:
Of course. I understand. I just needed to give you the information. Do you have any other questions for me?
Blake:
No, thank you.
RCMP:
All right. Enjoy your trip to Mexico, and have a good rest of your day.
Blake:
Thank you.
