Why We've Never Seen F1's Greatest Driver (And Never Will)

Formula One's greatest driver doesn't exist—not because they're not out there, but because we'll never see them. You need a family dropping £10 grand a month on go-karting just to get a shot at those 20 seats.

That means the best driver in the world is probably stuck driving a lorry somewhere in some far-away land or fixing tractors in the middle of nowhere.

The grid isn't the best 20 drivers on Earth. It's the best 20 drivers whose parents could afford the entry fee. Bit depressing when you think about it, innit?
