“The cases were solid…I think what we had was a little bit of expediency on the DOJ part to meet some statute of limitations deadlines, and it may have resulted in some process shortfalls.” Chris Piehota argued for the validity of the prosecution cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James after a judge dismissed them, determining that the federal prosecutor was unlawfully appointed. Piehota added, “I think…that some of these… left-leaning judges are gonna start using some of these procedural issues to..interdict certain acts by the Administration that they may not favor.”
