Book 21 - The Preacher

The 21st Book in the Bible, the name "Ecclesiastes" means "the one who speaks to the assembly" or "the preacher," derived from the Greek word ekklesia for "assembly". It is a biblical book that explores the meaning of life, concluding that without God, everything is "meaningless" or "vanity".

This book features two speakers: the "Teacher," who presents his observations on life, and the narrator, who frames the Teacher's message and provides a concluding summary.

The central message is that true fulfillment is not found in worldly pleasures, wisdom, or possessions. Instead, the book encourages finding meaning in a life lived with faith and integrity, enjoying life's gifts as they come from God.

Ecclesiastes argues that life, when viewed without reference to God, is filled with futility, labor, and an inability to find lasting satisfaction or significance.
