Plot Summary American FBI agent Tim Hanley (Brent) and Scotland Yard inspector Reggie Oliver (Rathbone) track a beautiful Norwegian singer, Carla Nillson (Massey), from London to Lisbon and New York. They suspect she is the principal agent responsible for a sabotage ring interfering with the flow of American aircraft to the U.K., using her opera performances to relay coded information via the phrasing of her music. A romance develops between Hanley and Nillson, complicating the investigation.
