The Cross & Resurrection — Hope Beyond the Grave

Today’s teaching reminded us of one of the greatest promises God has given His people:
death does not have the final word.
Because Jesus rose, resurrection is our future too.

We studied 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, where Paul tells believers not to “grieve like the rest who have no hope.”
We do grieve — but we grieve with confidence, not despair.

Here’s what Scripture showed us today:

• Jesus’ resurrection guarantees ours
📖 “We will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection.” — Romans 6:5

• Death for the believer is temporary — “sleep”
📖 “The one who believes in Me… will never die.” — John 11:25–26

• Jesus Himself will return for His people
📖 “The Lord Himself will descend from heaven…” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16

• Our loved ones in Christ are not lost — they are with Him
📖 “God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:14

• We will be with the Lord forever
📖 “So we will always be with the Lord.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:17

This isn’t wishful thinking —
it’s the unshakable hope Jesus secured through the cross and the empty tomb.

If you need hope today… this is it.
Because Jesus lives, your future is secure.
