Dearborn Is At War

In this video I break down several major stories that hit this week. First is the Dearborn, Michigan incident where Jake Lang, a Florida Senate candidate and January 6 pardonee, led an anti-Islam march. He tried multiple times to burn a Quran, slapped it with bacon, and called for ICE to be deployed in Dearborn. Muslim residents confronted him, including Abbas Abou Khadr who grabbed the Quran, and police formed a barrier as shouting began but the situation stayed contained. The event raised debates over protests, religion, public safety, and how far people can go under free speech.

I also cover the new Epstein Files Transparency Act. The House passed it 427–1, the Senate approved it unanimously, and Trump signed it into law requiring the DOJ to release Epstein-related documents within 30 days. Trump posted that Democrats used Epstein as a “hoax” and named several political figures he claims are connected. Speaker Mike Johnson voted for the bill but warned about releasing documents without protections for victims and innocent people. New emails also surfaced showing a 2013 Democratic consulting firm inviting Epstein to a fundraiser connected to Hakeem Jeffries, which Jeffries denies having any involvement in.

Another story includes Trump calling a Bloomberg reporter “piggy” during a press gaggle on Air Force One when asked about Epstein emails. The clip was widely reported and circulated online. I also go over Trump’s comments at the U.S.–Saudi Investment Forum where he joked about firing Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent over interest rates and criticized Fed Chair Jerome Powell. At the same time, Trump hosted a White House dinner for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and Cristiano Ronaldo attended. Trump said his tariff dividend plan would send $2,000 payments to lower- and middle-income Americans before the 2026 midterms, though Treasury officials noted Congress must approve it.
