During the exercise, the crews of the warships practiced tactical techniques for conducting naval combat with surface ships of a simulated enemy. They performed training combat exercises with firing from A-190 and AK-630M artillery systems at sea targets.

At a certain point in the exercise, the crews of the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov and the corvette Gremyashchy conducted a group search for a simulated enemy submarine. Upon detecting an unidentified submarine, the corvettes initiated pursuit tactics, subsequently compelling the submarine's crew to surface.
