Book 26 - Ezekiel

The book of Ezekiel is appreciated for its prophetic themes of God's judgment, sovereignty, and the promise of future restoration to be known by obedience & faith, rather than by geography and regional recognition.

The prophecy in against Tyre is often cited as a demonstration of the Bible's historical accuracy, particularly the fulfillment of a prophecy that the city would be destroyed and its rubble used to build a causeway to the island fortress.

Theological lessons over the dangers of attributing success and power to oneself rather than understanding that "by the wicked the wicked are punished;" the people of Tyre gloated over Jerusalem's fall and believed they were better fallen foes -- so God's judgment fell upon them for their misplaced pride, religious ignorance & spiritual immaturities.

Lessons for our day, indeed!
