Deadpool & Wolverine Barely Broke Even | Marvel Budgets Are Out of Control

Reports are coming out that Deadpool & Wolverine costs more than $100 million to produce than what was initially reported and it may have just broken even despite huge box office haul.

Disney and Marvel under reporting their budgets has kind of become the norm for the company. While it’s obvious how many of their other movies never reached profitability at the box office, it’s unusual to hear a movie that made over $1 billion at the global box office was just barely enough to make a profit. It seems apparently obvious that Marvel executives do not know how to manage their budget and they need to get things in order because they can’t afford to lose hundreds of millions on each new release.
