The true story of Thanksgiving is a story of misguided Pilgrims that thought socialism could work. It led to starvation and death and almost led to the end of the American experiment before it began. Luckily, the leaders of the Pilgrims woke up and implemented a capitalist type of system. This led to prosperity and provides a lesson we should never forget.
