Hong Kong's anti-corruption agency has arrested eight people in connection with the inferno that ripped through a housing estate, killing at least 128 people.

Firefighters combing each apartment in the tower complex found dozens more bodies, officials said. Two-hundred people remain missing.

• Arrests made: Three men have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the fire, a police spokesperson said. Police accused the three of “gross negligence” at a press conference.

• About the fire: Seven of the eight buildings in the complex — which is home to a large population of elderly residents — are still ablaze. The fire appears to be the most deadly blaze in Hong Kong in nearly three decades.
