The ShamWow guy just filed to run for Congress. You read that right. Vince Shlomi the fast talking pitchman who sold millions of towels and made the slap chop a household name has officially entered the political arena as a Republican in Texas. The media is laughing but remember they laughed at another infomercial king who stepped into politics. Mike Lindell became one of the most influential conservative voices in the country. In a low turnout primary name recognition is everything. Vince Shlomi has more name recognition than most politicians will ever dream of. He is facing a crowded field of 12 candidates but the media coverage he is getting right now is priceless. All other 11 candidates would die for this type of free exposure. Every news outlet is running his old commercials. That is advertising money cannot buy.

Washington laughed at Mike Lindell too. Now he has his own network and millions of followers. They are laughing at Vince Shlomi the same way. But while pundits giggle about towels and infomercials Shlomi is doing what every successful outsider does. Slipping under the radar. Grabbing attention he cannot buy. And betting that voters are ready for something different.

The playbook has been written. Lindell proved an infomercial pitchman can become a political force. He went from My Pillow commercials to building a media empire and standing alongside President Trump. Now Shlomi wants to take it a step further and actually hold office. Whether he wins or loses his candidacy is a sign the old gatekeepers are losing their grip.

Voters are fed up with career politicians. They are fed up with 84 year olds who have been in office longer than some of their constituents have been alive. They are open to somebody who comes from the outside. Shlomi built a brand on being loud direct and impossible to ignore. That is not a bad skill set for politics. He can bring that ShamWow right to the halls of Congress and mop up all that slop in DC.
