RV Squeezed, Parts Falling Off, Roads Closed… What a Trip!

Join us on this leg of our full-time RV adventure as we travel from the Gulf Coast to Louisiana, staying at Keesler AFB FamCamp and Barksdale AFB FamCamp — with plenty of unexpected “fun” along the way.
Our trip kicks off with a bang… or more accurately, a generator exhaust pipe falling off mid-travel. After a quick roadside scramble, we roll into Keesler AFB, where we find ourselves squeezing into one of the tightest RV spots we've tried to park in yet. Then it’s onward to Barksdale AFB — where construction zones, closed exits, and lanes so narrow they should come with a warning label try their best to derail our plans.
But we finally make it in, set up, and end the day with a little Base Exchange and Commissary shopping to restock before the next big stretch of travel.
