A standard Neeher's mod experience

Well, I came in expecting the typical Neeher's mod experience...
And he did not disappoint.

Spent like an ETERNITY trying to figure out how to complete this sidequest on the first try. Now that I actually know, it will get easier the next time when I do it with my other characters.

I was surprised though, that the Varmint Rifle is slightly more powerful in this game compared to how pathetic it was in previous Fallouts.

From what I can gather from Kerry's notes, I can now buy the standard Varmint Rifles from Arturo in Diamond City or other weapon vendors in the game after completing this unmarked quest.

Well, it IS unmarked in my case since I decided to give it a whirl the moment I saw it available on the Creations menu.
