Instead of covering the commercial, capitalist, imperialist Macy’s Parade, I covered the "23rd annual Turkey Trot: Race for Reconciliation."

According to the American Indian Community House, “this year’s race will honor Native Americans. A portion of the proceeds from the race will benefit the American Indian Community House Inc. in New York City.”

On the same day, “Since 1970, Indigenous people & their allies have gathered at noon on Cole’s Hill in Plymouth (Massachusetts) to commemorate a National Day of Mourning on the US Thanksgiving holiday,” says the United American Indians of New England.

El "23.ª Trote Anual del Pavo: Carrera por la Reconciliación" en Prospect Park, Brooklyn; Lenapehoking (ciudad de Nueva York) se realizó el jueves 27 de noviembre de 2025.

En lugar de cubrir el desfile comercial, capitalista e imperialista de Macy's, cubrí el "23.ª Trote Anual del Pavo: Carrera por la Reconciliación".

De acuerdo a la American Indian Community House, "la carrera de este año honrará a personas Nativas Americanas. Una parte de las ganancias de la carrera beneficiará a la American Indian Community House Inc. en la ciudad de Nueva York".

El mismo día, “desde 1970, personas Indígenas y sus aliadas se han reunido al mediodía en Cole’s Hill en Plymouth, Massachusetts para conmemorar el Día Nacional de Luto en el feriado del Día de Acción de Gracias en Estados Unidos”, dice la United American Indians of New England.
