LaPlante accepts Z film limo placement bc there are slides in teh archives that show it. Sounds like a very weak reasoning to me & he doesnt explain it any further so I will say I think he's wrong, & Horne is right that Hoover's intial report may have been the true location [during the STOP] when kill shots hit, which was slightly forward. This would potentially invalidate his theory that it had to be from on top of a big truck to sail over the windshield if it were shot from the south end of the bridge, in the same way that his research at first glance seems to do so to Fiester's- the limo would be further forward so you could clear the top from a lower elevation.
