where nothing’s bought for vanity
no borders drawn to keep us split
no chains of old theology

no bills, no debt, no fear of lack
a world where science lights the sky
and lifts humanity’s future back

imagine all the people
living their lives in peace
you may say it’s impossible
but hope is the one release
and I believe we can reach it
if someday you choose to come
then the world will rise together
and finally live as one

imagine a mind awakened
we understand why people hurt
we’ve healed the sickness of the world
and life no longer ends in dirt

imagine a calm tomorrow
where every heart is truly free
where present moments fill our hands
and love becomes our currency

imagine all the people
living for today
some may say it’s unrealistic
but peace is a path, not a stray
and I’m not the only dreamer
