Why Gender Roles Are Pushed Onto Men

Something that doesn't get mentioned in any "men's spaces" is how detrimental gender roles are for men. The "male provider" role sets up men to be cleaned out during divorce proceedings. Stay-at-home-husbands are clowned on because they are the ones who will get child support and alimony awards at the expense of the wife. 50/50 relationships are routinely bashed on by gold-diggers because it is a fair deal for men and women have to actually contribute financially. Family courts feign gender neutrality, so society has to push men to be "masculine" and adhere to traditional gender roles. Whenever women have to pay alimony, misandrists will call it "manimony." Yet, when men have to pay alimony, misandrists cheer. If men want to secure their freedom, they have to reject their gender roles.
