Saturday? Isn't Sunday the day of rest, the new covenant. Aren't we honouring Jesus' resurrection on Sunday.
Let's take a look at what God says about this in the Bible.
Reasons why I keep God’s Seventh Day Sabbath
God blessed it and sanctified it at creation. (God never changes)
Genesis 2: 3 (NIV) Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

God not only blessed the seventh day, but He made it holy.

God asked us to remember it and keep it holy.
Exodus 20: 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

God said: It will be a sign between Him and His people.
Exodus 31:13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies[a] you.

The Sabbath was made for man (Mankind)
Mark 2: 27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.’’

Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath
Mark 2: 28 ‘’Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.’’

There are 2 types of laws. 1) The 10-commandment written on stone by God. 2) The Mosaic laws written on paper by Moses.

Jesus said: If you love me, keep my Commandments.
John 14: 15 “If you love Me, [a]keep My commandments.

We do not keep the Sabbath to be saved, but we do it because we love Him

Ephesians 2: 8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Jesus said: I did not come to abolish the law. (Until heaven & earth pass away)
Matthew 5: 17-18 Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one [a]jot or one [b]tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

The word ‘’fulfill’’ is what is misunderstood by many. Jesus fulfilled the law means that he accomplished what he came to do which was to pay for our sins and to free us. He did this for the people in the past, the people in the present, and the people in the future. He was the only one that could accomplish this task because he's the only one that is sinless.

Isaiah 42: 21 21 The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake;
He will exalt the law and make it honorable.

Isaiah 42: 21 explains it in different terms. It says that he came to magnify the law and to make it honorable. Here the word magnify means to make it clearer because he said even thinking about breaking one of the commandments was unlawful. The word honorable means that it's a good thing as opposed to what the Pharisees were teaching.

Jesus warn us about the results of breaking the commandments
Matthew 5: 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The Sabbath will be celebrated in Heaven for eternity.
Isaiah 66: 23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

I have one answer to these rebuttals. How many people on the planet are worshipping on Sunday rather than Saturday? Isn't there a verse that says that the road to heaven is narrow?

Most are following the highway to hell and not the stairway to heaven.

1 John 5:3
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

James 2:10
10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
