CS #175 The Crime Doctor's Courage

is a 1945 American mystery film directed by George Sherman. It is the sixth film in the ten-film Crime Doctor series produced by Columbia Pictures, all starring Warner Baxter as the titular character, Dr. Robert Ordway.
Synopsis
The film follows famed psychologist and reformed ex-convict Dr. Robert Ordway as he investigates a murder case. He receives a message from an old friend, Kathleen Carson (played by Hillary Brooke), whose globe-trotting adventurer husband, Gordon (Stephen Crane), has been found murdered.
Kathleen becomes the prime suspect, and Dr. Ordway works to clear her name. The investigation leads him down a trail of troubling clues, uncovering a web of secrets in a small, insulated community. The plot involves the doctor looking into the suspicious circumstances of the victim's past, specifically the accidental deaths of his first two wives during their honeymoons, which leads to flirtations with themes of vampirism before a rational explanation prevails.
