Dallas Police Department Fatal Shooting Outside Hyde and Seek Lounge

After a call of disturbance at the Hyde and Seek Lounge, 31-year-old Kendric McDonald, fired multiple rounds from his handgun at a vehicle, killing 27-year-old Zemeid Cox inside and injuring three men standing nearby. McDonald was seen on bodycam video running towards officers while pointing his gun at them.

Officers gave the man commands to drop the weapon, but McDonald did not comply. Two officers then fired their weapons, fatally striking McDonald. Officers began life-saving efforts on McDonald and Cox until Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived at the scene.

Three victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Three guns were recovered from the scene.
