Blizzard Toll Rises – Dead on Roads, Power Blackouts │ Grim Dispatch

Man, this storm is nasty. It rolled in hard yesterday and it’s still pounding half the country. Right now we’re looking at 8 to 20 inches on the ground from South Dakota clear to western New York, and the lake-effect bands are still dumping 3–4 inches an hour in places. Winds are locked at 45, gusting over 60. You can’t see the hood of your truck in the thick of it.
