The Bronx Bodega Blessing — Part 2
The cashiers in my local bodega are mostly from Africa, most of them Muslim, and I want to say something honest about them today.

These brothers have seen me on my good days and my bad days.
And no matter what, they always showed me kindness.
They give people a break when they’re short on change.
They look out for the elders.

They treat you like family when you treat them like humans, not just cashiers.
People don’t talk about this enough—
but some of the kindest souls in The Bronx are behind those counters.
Different culture, different religion…

but the same heart God is looking for in all of us.
If nobody told you today:
Good people still live here. You just have to notice them.
