This compact sized power bank packs a decent punch for it size and low cost. Is it any better than the many rivals?

In the box, I received the Hosgubo AK006 power bank, a rather short USB-C charging cable and a user guide. I include a scan of the user guide in my video, not that you will need it as using the power bank is not rocket science.

At 192g, the power bank is quite lightweight for the 5 x 2 x 4 cm size, but feels reassuringly well made and upmarket in the hand. On the front is a large plastic panel housing a rather dim LED screen displaying the current battery and charging status. On the top face is the recessed power button with next to it a slot housing the USB-C plug, the short hard wired cable for which serves as a strap or lanyard. On one side are the USB-C input/output and USB-A output ports.

Charging the 10000 mAh capacity power bank is done through the USB-C port and takes between 6 and 8 hours. The front panel display shows the current battery charge level with a fast charging status icon.

The power bank can charge three devices simultaneously. The USB-C port supports fast charging up to 22.5W, while the USB-A port provides up to 22.5W for compatible devices. It can charge an iPhone 12 up to 2.5 times, an iPad mini 1.6 times, or a Samsung Galaxy S21 1.8 times.

The device is equipped with advanced protection technology, featuring multiple safety mechanisms, including overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, overheating, and overcurrent protection, and complies with TSA international air travel safety standards.

When I got it was priced at £25, but now I would not want to pay more than £15 as there are many similar rivals available. But if the price is right, then this would be a very decent buy.
