Deciphering Dylan’s Live version of “Highlands.” What a difference from the album! #Lyricvideo,

I never much cared for the 16-minute album version of this song on "Time out of Mind" (1997). Too long, too slow and too depressing.

And then I heard this stepped-up 10-minute live version from a 1999 concert in Worcester Mass. Wow! I love it!

Dylan only left out 1 of the 20 verses to this song, but increased the tempo to get it done 60 % faster.

I mentioned in this video how my recent reaction to Bob’s “She’s your lover now” was rejected by some of the Dylan Facebook channels, presumably because I suggested that the song may have ben based on his relationship with Warhol Factory Girl Edie Sedgwick.

Bob has always denied that they had a relationship and has threatened to sue anybody who says he did, although there is strong circumstantial evidence that they did.
