The Longinus Point? Where opening our eyes to Jesus comes to a point! St. Longinus watched Jesus breathe his last and said, 'Truly this man was the Son of God!' He then pierced Jesus's side with his spear; the gash sprayed him with blood and water, healing his diminishing eyesight. Let us open our eyes and seek clarity of faith in Jesus. As a layperson, I'll be diving into the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible for the first time. Learn with me as we delve deep into the mysteries of our faith including learning about one of the many saints we honor because of their connection with Jesus.

On tomorrow's show we are going to continue the Gospel According to St. Matthew. Last week we finished most of chapter 2 ending with the Visit From The Wise Men. Today we will continue with Mary, Joseph, and Jesus escaping King Herod as they flee into Egypt.

And on deck for the saint of the day is none other than St. Adalbert. St. Adalbert is the Patron Saint of Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. But it was in Prussia where he lost his head.
