What makes a movie a Christmas movie? The setting? The themes? Simply a tree? It doesn't matter if you think it is or not, if a film can be adopted by the season, all the more reason to include it on a top 10/25/50/100 list! So yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie as much as It's a Wonderful Life. But where would you rank 'em? Hopefully you can do a better job, whatever you metrics, than the braintrust at Variety did for ranking the best comedies of all time...
