Scalloped potatoes is the ultimate side dish to have at any gathering! It has thinly sliced potatoes in a rich and decadent creamy sauce and topped with cheese. It’s so satisfying and definitely a crowd pleaser!

Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
3 lbs gold potatoes
2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
(Can also use Gruyère or Gouda cheese)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Slice potatoes 1/8 inch thick.
Place potatoes into a cast iron casserole, cast iron skillet or baking dish.
Add heavy cream, garlic powder, and salt into a small sauce pan and let it come to a boil.
Season the potatoes with black pepper and pour over cream sauce. Cover with lid or foil and bake for 1 hour.
Uncover and sprinkle over white cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
