The Tale of Two John's

John the Baptist and John the Apostle are two different biblical figures. John the Baptist was Jesus's cousin, who prepared the way for him by baptizing him and is considered a prophet. John the Apostle was one of Jesus's twelve disciples and later wrote the Gospel of John, the Epistles of John, and the Book of Revelation.
