This week’s sermon, titled: ”Three Thundering Gongs”, taken from Mark 14:43-72, left me with 3 acts, two questions …and one fact.
3) Acts: betrayal, condemnation, and denial.
2) Questions: “Was he the Christ? Does this even matter?
1) Fact: Jesus’ response (“…I am”) literally demands our worship.”

Also… being the first week of Advent, our musical worship was Christmas Traditional.

Overall, I believe the tenor of this week’s service was measurably subdued as we learned of a very dear friend and brothers home-going. As you can imagine, our prayer time was both heartfelt and sincere. Daryl Barger’s passing is no doubt a victory in the spiritual sense no doubt, but the wake he leaves is both deep and wide. Please join with us in prayer for Daryl’s beloved wife Sandy as there will be many upcoming changes to be sure.

*For those in a hurry, today’s sermon starts at the 26minute / 13second mark.
**And finally, next week’s Church-wide Bible Memory Verse is… Micah 5:2.
“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from old, from ancient days.”
