Shepperd’s Park Dreamscape. Perth, Australia

A short, peaceful walk through Shepperd’s Park — a place I always come back to.
The entrance opens onto a wide green hollow, almost like an ancient crater, where the shifting light and shadows create a dreamlike landscape.
The park is filled with tuarts and balgas, and every time I visit I’m drawn to the same burnt tree trunk: a dark, twisted shape that looks like an animal howling at the cosmos.
Even after many years and many fires, it still holds its form.
Chiqui leads the way as usual, guiding us through one of those quiet corners I always miss when I’m away.

A gentle, atmospheric walk in a place full of memory and strange beauty.
