A verbal dispute between relatives exploded into a fatal shootout late Saturday night at a southwest Atlanta gas station, leaving a 17-year-old dead and another man wounded.

Atlanta Police say the incident began inside an event hall next to the Valero station at 3640 Campbellton Road SW shortly before 10 p.m. on November 30. The argument moved outside into the parking lot, where multiple family members pulled handguns and opened fire.

Surveillance video obtained by 11Alive shows the group yelling near the gas pumps before gunfire erupts. Dozens of shots ring out in seconds as people run for cover. When officers arrived, they found the teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second male victim, also a relative, was shot but survived. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition after surgery.

Detectives recovered numerous shell casings and are examining additional video from the property. As of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been announced. Police describe the shooting as stemming from a personal family dispute and say all parties involved appear to be related.
