THE IDEA THAT BLACK AMERICA WRIT LARGE IS A "PATRIARCHY" is nothing new; indeed, the notion has been circulating throughout the Black precincts since at least the early 1980s through the turn of the 21st century, thanks to the likes of Alice Walker, Patricia Hill-Collins, Kimberle Crenshaw, bell hooks and other notable Black feminists of the age. Their theoretical frameworks and academically technical rhetoric makes for a compelling display - but upon closer inspection - one that only requires a clear mind and a good eye(!) - when quickly sees that what we've been led to believe is in fact quite the opposite: That Black America is in fact a de facto and de jure MATRIARCHY.
