ETH Tokyo 2025: How Bitcoin.com Built a 2nd-Place AI Tool in One Weekend

At ETH Tokyo 2025, Bitcoin.com engineers Shreyansh Pandey and Vitalik Marinchenko built Prompt Piper, an AI prompt-compression engine designed to cut token costs, expand context windows, and improve how developers interact with modern LLMs.

In this short documentary, the team breaks down how Prompt Piper works, why prompt compression matters, and what today’s AI-focused hackathons are shifting toward: real-world, high-impact use cases.

The team also gives a live demo of the tool directly to Vitalik Buterin.

Prompt Piper finished 2nd overall at the ETH Tokyo Hackathon.
