Ruslan KD Interview with Fallen Hillsong Pastor Carl Lentz Who Mocks Pastors of Small Churches. Carl Lentz recently does a long interview with Ruslan on his You Tube channel. It gave us some good insights in the mind of the fallen celebrity mega church Pastor who fell from grace 5 years ago. Ruslan asks him about mega churches and larger ministries and Carl Lentz goes off on a bit of rant. Carl Lentz says: “Most Pastors start out with a big vision and they can’t do it. So they change their theology to now suite what their fruit is". So he doesn't think much of most Pastor who usually have small churches. He then tell these Pastors "“Brother you can’t grow your church past what it is. Just deal with it". For most of the interview Carl Lentz seemed composed and down to earth until the subject of larger churches came up. He seemed very triggered. Carl Lentz goes to say “Rather than glean from what they might be doing right. You’re so small and going to start making up reasons for why their success is not legit. That is the weakest, smallest view of a leader I’ve ever seen in my life”...... “And it happens all the time. We are never going to be like that church …. You are in no danger of ever growing. And what if you just worried about that. And what is your inference. How big is too big? People don’t like these conversations because it gets really cloudy quickly”. I was starting to still feel bad for fallen mega church Pastor until he went on this tear. Then i started to believe he has a decent amount of pride and ego that must be dealt with before returning to the ministry. Carl Lentz explains he has no aspirations for ministry at this time. These clips were a bad look for the former mega church Pastor.
