The Appalachian Mountains Are Hiding Something Terrifying.

Late on the night of June 16, 1964, a 30-something newspaper reporter named Robert Cockrell sat behind the wheel of his car, his heart racing. He had just barely missed hitting a deer along West Virginia’s Route 119. It had come out of nowhere, and, for a moment, it had seemed like he might crash right into it. But he hadn’t.

As he sped away from where it had all happened, Robert started counting his blessings. That was a close one. But as he thought about it more and more, Robert came to realize something.

It was the strangest deer he's ever seen. And the reason is because it was white and had strange-looking skin. Even stranger is that other people around town would start seeing this same deer and ultimately, would change the entire town forever.
