In other to understand the anonymity of the author, understand that the 58th book in the classic scriptures was penned to the very "lost sheep" who's leaders rejected their prophesied miracle-working shepherd? Even Jesus Himself stated that His Mission was to no other.

Thus central to this letter is to highlight Jesus' superiority as God's son superior to angels, Moses, the old covenant, and the Levitical Priests.

Herein Jesus is portrayed as the sympathetic, perfect High Priest who intercedes for believers, making access to God possible through Him.

The inclusion of the counsel to the Hebrews - no Israel, not Judea - but to those whom can by now only be defined by virtue of common tradition and language.
