This first Book of the Apostle Peter (a.k.a. "1 Peter") offers profound appreciation for hope in unjust and unmerited persecutions, encouraging persecuted Christians to live godly lives as "exiles" by doing good, reflecting Christ's character.

Finding joy in their heavenly inheritance, this book reminds Christians suffering by popular, hedonistic, and self-defeating practices (what we'd call "woke" today) reminds all believers built upon the rock of personal revelations and reformations that they have so by been explicitly chosen; a holy people with a living hope through Jesus' resurrection, even amidst trials that prove - ad mayest also can thusly purify - their faith.

Just like Jesus?

Ultimately the 60th book of the classic scriptures remains a practical guide to enduring hostility with grace, calling believers to a renewed identity and purpose, looking forward to Christ's return as their ultimate vindication and glory.
