Bowne Report:

During the Biden administration’s 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, the CIA struck a secret deal to evacuate and resettle over 85,000 Afghans , including members of its elite “Zero Units” paramilitary force, with little to no vetting.

The direct consequence exploded into view over the Thanksgiving holiday four years later, when Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a former CIA Zero Unit commando resettled in Bellingham, Washington, drove cross country to Washington, D.C. and opened fire on two National Guard soldiers near the White House with an AK-47, killing one and wounding another before being wounded himself. Strikingly, the 2002 D.C. Beltway sniper, John Allen Muhammad, also lived in Bellingham before traveling to the capital region to murder ten people. Two separate terrorists, both from the same small Washington town, both targeting the nation’s capital two decades apart, one an American radical, the other a CIA trained Afghan imported without proper vetting.

According to declassified reports, former officials, and on the ground journalism, approximately 10,000 paramilitary Zero Units members, who were directly created, funded, trained, equipped, and often directed by the CIA, plus thousands of family members, were evacuated and resettled in the U.S. by late 2021.
