Captain Monroe and I rode out to a spot to wait on the wagon with the vaccines. He said he thinks Colonel Favours is not a bad person just weak and trying to prove to himself and others that he is still worth something. The weakness, though, has caused a rot in his regiment and it is spreading. To me, he does not sound like a good man and if we cross paths, I may just have to retire the colonel. Either way, we just spotted the wagon and now I need to see about getting the vaccines. I sent Monroe away so he doesn't have to be involved.
