In this episode, our full-time RV adventure takes us deep into Texas — and straight into one of our funniest (and soggiest) travel fails yet. After rolling into a truck stop/RV park for a quick two-night stay, we discovered something very important: if you’re expecting 36 hours of nonstop rain… maybe double-check that the sunroof is actually closed. 😅💦
Once we dried out the truck (and our pride), we continued west into New Mexico, landing at the Carlsbad KOA, our home base for the next 5 weeks. With the long travel days behind us, we finally slow down, settle in, and enjoy what we’ve been craving — a real campfire. We roast hotdogs, relax under the desert sky, and swap childhood camping memories with the kids.
