Heroic Holidays: Helldivers 2 Taking it to the Clankers

The Automatons are one of the primary enemy factions in Helldivers 2, portrayed as a socialist empire composed of mindless, bloodthirsty robots driven by an unthinking hatred of freedom.

They are a legion of steel machines that have expanded from the fringes of the galaxy into Super Earth's territory, controlling 40 planets.

Their origins are tied to a rebellion against the Federation of Super Earth, sparked by the enslavement of their cyborg predecessors on the planet Cyberstan, who were forced to mine minerals beneath its surface.

The game features an original storyline, with Mary DeMarle serving as the game's narrative director, Jean-François Dugas as the game's director, and Richard Jacques as composer. Unlike Marvel's Avengers, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is exclusively single-player. The team experimented with multiplayer and cooperative gameplay modes but scrapped them to focus on telling a character-driven story.
