Octogenarian puzzle compiler Edie O'Sullivan wins a 2 day Christmas Break at a hotel called the Aster Castle Hotel which is located on a remote Scottish Island. Edie is looking forward to a traditional Christmas break , full of walks , roaring fires, good food and books and of course whisky!
When a guest dies in mysterious circumstances Edie realises that there is a killer amongst them and when more guests die it's up to Edie to solve the Christmas Cracker riddles that preceded the deaths.
