Revelation 10 marks a dramatic pause in the judgment sequence and reveals that God is fully in control of history. A mighty angel descends with authority, placing one foot on the land and the other on the sea, holding a little book that represents God’s final instructions before the seventh trumpet.

John is commanded to take the book and eat it. It is sweet in his mouth yet bitter in his stomach, showing that God’s truth brings joy for believers but sorrow as judgment approaches. The seven thunders speak, but their message is sealed, reminding us that God keeps certain mysteries hidden according to His purpose.

The angel announces that there will be no more delay and that God’s plan will move toward completion when the seventh trumpet sounds. Revelation 10 challenges believers to trust God’s timing, internalize His Word, and live with a sober awareness of both His mercy and His coming judgment.

If you want to understand the little book, the bittersweet message of God, and the meaning of “no more delay” in the book of Revelation, this teaching will help you see the beauty and seriousness of God’s unfolding plan.
