From Geopolitics to Polyphony: A New System In Tune With Natural Law

As a result of a series of meetings between Russian and U.S. officials to work out a peace plan for Ukraine, leading officials in the Atlanticist institutions of Europe have expressed their unhappiness, or outright rejection in some cases to a coming end of the NATO launched conflict against Russia, begun in 2014 with the overthrow of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych by NATO-backed, neo-Nazi forces in Kiev.

The most significant of these U.S.-Russian meetings occurred on Tuesday between President Putin and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, where both sides expressed satisfaction with the discussion and the progress. This happened to also coincide with a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi in Moscow, to proceed with the 20th round of Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security.

Today, Vladimir Putin has arrived in India for a two-day state visit. The Times of India reports that President Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to comprehensively review all aspects of this "special and priority strategic partnership," including defense cooperation, energy security, trade expansion, and collaboration in emerging fields.

All these meetings represent a continuation of the spirit of the RIC (Russia-India-China) format promoted by former Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov, later to become the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) format, which has put forth an alternative to 500 years of colonialism imposed upon the nations of the Global South, in the form of mutually beneficial trade agreements and cooperation in economic projects to the benefit of all nations. The Schiller Institute, under the 40+ year leadership of Helga Zepp-LaRouche, has put forth the idea of a new security and development architecture, which replaces the system of geopolitics with something more in tune, namely, a polyphonic system where the economic, social, and political order is brought into cohesion with the lawfulness of the physical universe.

This is based upon the fifteenth century scientist, diplomat, and cardinal Nicholas of Cusa’s method of the Coincidence of Opposites, recently brought to attention by Pope Leo XIV in his Oct. 25th Jubilee Audience sermon. The same pope has made significant travels to Lebanon, Türkiye, and other nations in the past days, in an effort to revive this principle of diplomacy.
