Vancouver, WA - The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says a 40-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night after stealing a car, which had a gun inside.

Officials say that around 8 p.m. on December 2, they were investigating a break in and a car being stolen in northeast Vancouver.

“A short time later, officers learned the stolen vehicle was parked at the Starbucks near W. Main St. and SR-503 in Battle Ground,” Vancouver Police said. “Battle Ground Police responded, located the vehicle, and believed the suspect was still inside.”

Officials say because a firearm was inside the car and the risk of flight was high, additional units were requested.

“When deputies and officers moved in, the suspect accelerated, dodged patrol vehicles, and sped out of the lot. A pursuit began, during which stop sticks were deployed,” Vancouver Police stated. “Despite damaged tires, the suspect continued driving until CCSO utilized the Grappler to immobilize the vehicle near Northeast 72nd Ave and SR 502 in Dollars Corner.”

Police say that the suspect hit two patrol cars, damaging one of them. “Deputies had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck,” Vancouver Police said. Deputies were able to pin the vehicle in and Danielle Crosby was taken into custody.

Officials say that she was arrested on multiple felony charges.

She is a convicted felon and isn’t allowed to have firearms. She’s been booked into the Clark County Jail.
